Dapeng Fortress
The city’s other name “Pengcheng”oruginates from the fortress. Built in the 27th Year of the Hongwu reign, Ming Dynasty, it is one of the well-preserved ancient towns in the city, and served as animportant Military fortress of South sea during Ming and Qing Dynasty.
